Marco Agrifoglio

Cardiac surgeon and Associate Professor of Cardiac Surgery 

Professor Marco Agrifoglio graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan, specializing in Cardiac Surgery at the same university.

His professional career began in January 1991 as a Technical Collaborator in the Cardiac Surgery Department at the University of Milan. He became an Assistant Head in the same department at Monzino Cardiology Center in January 1996. In September 2001, he was confirmed as a Researcher in Cardiac Surgery at the University of Milan's Faculty of Medicine and Surgery.

Internationally, he worked as a "surgical fellow" at the Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Center of Oldenburg General Hospital, Germany, from September 1992 to June 1993.

Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Cardiac Surgery at the University of Milan's Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and is responsible for the Vascular Ecocolordoppler Outpatient Clinic.

His teaching activities include organizing and participating as a lecturer and tutor in the Advanced Course in Vascular Ecocolordoppler at the University of Milan (2001-2009), lecturing at the School of Specialization in Cardiac Surgery (since 2001), teaching Vascular Surgery for the Degree Course in Cardiocirculatory Physiopathology and Cardiovascular Perfusion Techniques (since 2001), and lecturing at the First School of Specialization in Cardiology (since 2004).

He is the author of 73 original scientific publications and has participated in 122 national and international conferences.
